WINDSOR, England: Assurant Solutions, a global provider of specialised insurance and insurance-related products, announced that Ian Moffatt is leaving the role of president and chief executive officer of Assurant Solutions Europe, effective June 30, 2010.
Mike Anderson, an executive vice president of Assurant Solutions and president of the International business, will serve as interim president. Chief Operating Officer Marko Böttger, Chief Financial Officer Martin Pringle and Chief Marketing Officer Martin Jenns will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations of the European business, reporting to Mr. Anderson. Assurant Solutions has engaged an executive search firm to identify candidates outside of Assurant to replace Ian.
“Ian has headed this business during a particularly difficult economic time and has played a key role in reshaping our European business model, said Mr. Anderson. “He has decided to relocate his family to Spain. We wish him much success with this move and in his pursuit of other career opportunities.
“Our senior management team is intensely focused on delivering quality service and products to our clients and customers, and is encouraged by the initial results of our 2010 One Europe strategy,” he added.
Ian Moffatt joined Assurant Solutions in 2004 as sales and marketing director. He was appointed managing director and country president for the UK and Ireland in 2006 and promoted to president and chief executive of Assurant Solutions Europe in December 2008.
